When your job has been connected to a data source, you need to add field data to the labels.
The Field panel enables you to easily add data to your labels through the use of Drag and Drop.

The field panel lists all fields found in the data source, in the order found in the data source

Dragging a field from the panel to the label area, will cause a new element to be added, automatically connected to the field being dragged.

The top part of the panel displays 5 buttons that enable you to determine how fields will be added to the label:

Text: add the field as a new text object.
Barcode: add the field as a new barcode object
Graphic: add the field as a new graphic object, with its image linked to the field.
Prepend: add the field at the top of the concatenated text of an existing text or barcode element.
Append: add the field at the bottom of the concatenated tex tof an existing text or barcode element.
