LabeljoyNew version
Start here if you're new to Labeljoy. It opens on the home screen, and from there a label is three steps away: pick the paper, put something on the label, print.
| In this chapter | |
| The home screen | Where Labeljoy starts: new and recent documents, templates, and help. |
| Your first label | A label from scratch, step by step: the paper, a text and a barcode, and printing it. |
| Labels from a spreadsheet | A different label for every row of your data: addresses, prices, product codes. |
| Getting help | Where to look when you're stuck - this manual, Joy, and us. |
The quickest start of all is a template: pick one under Templates on the home screen, change the texts, and print. Or ask Joy, the AI assistant, in the field at the top of the home screen - "make me address labels for Avery 5160" - and change what it makes.
| When you want to know more | |
| The workspace | What's where on screen: the toolbar, the tabs, the panels and the work area. |
| Documents | Creating, opening, saving and protecting them. |
| Layout and label sets | The paper, the labels on it, and different designs in one document. |
| Elements | The texts, barcodes, pictures and shapes on a label. |
| Output | Printing, and saving as PDF or pictures. |
Coming from Labeljoy 6? Labeljoy doesn't open Labeljoy 6 documents: convert them first, in Labeljoy 6, with File > Convert to Labeljoy X. What's changed most is that you work in one window, with a tab for each document, and that one element can hold a text, a barcode and a picture together - see Coming from Labeljoy 6.
