Fonts
Labeljoy uses the fonts installed on your computer. You pick one from the Font list of the text editor for a text, and from the same list above a barcode for its readable line.
| The font list | |
| Recently used | The last 8 fonts you picked, newest first. Texts and barcodes each have their own, and Labeljoy remembers them for next time. |
| All fonts | Every font on the computer, in alphabetical order, each written in itself. Emoji fonts aren't in it. |
A new text starts in Arial 12, and a barcode's readable line in OCRB. To have more fonts, install them in the system as usual, then restart Labeljoy: the list is read when it starts.
A font this computer doesn't have. When you open a document that uses one - made on another computer, say - a notification, Missing fonts, names it. Meanwhile the text is shown and printed with another font, and a barcode's readable line with OCRB. The document keeps the font's name: install the font and it's back.
A character the font doesn't have - a Greek or Chinese letter in a Latin font, for instance - is taken from another font on the computer that has it, so the text still reads. Emoji are the exception: a text leaves them out, whether you type them or they come from your data (see Text editor).
A document you send to someone else looks the same on their computer only if they have its fonts. A PDF looks the same everywhere.
