LabeljoyNew version
Channel Code is the smallest linear barcode there is. It holds a short number - at most seven digits - in very little space, for small parts and items with room for little else.

| What it holds | |
| Characters | Digits only. |
| Length | Up to 7 digits, and a value no larger than the number of channels allows - see below. |
| Check digit | None. |
| Readable text | The number, with zeros in front to make it one digit shorter than the number of channels. |
Channels. A Channel Code has from 3 to 8 channels: the more it has, the larger the number it holds, and the wider it gets. With Automatic channels, Labeljoy uses one more channel than the digits you type, or more if the number needs them; choose a number of channels to keep every label the same width.
| The largest value | |
| 3 channels | 26 |
| 4 channels | 292 |
| 5 channels | 3493 |
| 6 channels | 44072 |
| 7 channels | 576688 |
| 8 channels | 7742862 |
The rest of the settings - text position, quiet zone, color - are in the Barcode section.
| What goes wrong | |
| Value too large for the number of channels. | The number is larger than the channels chosen can hold - choose more, or Automatic channels. |
| Input data too long. | More than 7 digits. |
| Numeric only data expected. | The value has something other than digits. |
