Here are the keys that work in Labeljoy. Some work anywhere in the window. The ones that change the selection only work when the work area has the focus - so click the label first.

| Ctrl+N | A new document from your default template. |
| Ctrl+O | Open a document from your computer. |
| Ctrl+S | Save the document on screen, when it has unsaved changes. |
| Ctrl+P | Print the document on screen straight away, with its current print settings. |
| Ctrl+E | Export the document on screen straight away: Labeljoy asks where to save the file. |
| Ctrl+Shift+N, O, S, P, E | Open the New, Open, Save, Print or Export panel instead, just like the toolbar buttons. |
| Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+Shift+Tab | The next or the previous open document. |
| Ctrl+F4 | Close the document on screen. |
| Editing | |
| Ctrl+Z | Undo. |
| Ctrl+Y, Ctrl+Shift+Z | Redo. |
| Ctrl+C, Ctrl+Insert | Copy the selection. |
| Ctrl+V, Shift+Insert | Paste. |
| Ctrl+X | Cut the selection. |
| Delete | Delete the selection. Labeljoy asks first, until you tick Hide this message. With nothing selected in a document that has one label set, it's that label set that goes. |
| Tab, Shift+Tab | Select the next or the previous thing on screen: each label set, its elements, then the page elements. |
| Ctrl+A | Select all: every element of the label set you're working on, or every page element if that's what's selected. With nothing selected, the elements of the only label set. |
| Shift+arrow keys | Move the selection a little. The step gets finer as you zoom in. Locked elements stay where they are, and the keys don't snap to the grid. |
| Ctrl+arrow keys | Resize the selection: right and left make it wider and narrower, down and up taller and shorter. The top left corner stays where it is. With nothing selected, they scroll the work area instead. |
| Esc | Cancel a drag in the work area. |
Copy, paste, cut, delete and the arrow keys act on the work area only when it has the focus. While you're typing in the tools panel they work on the text, as usual - and so do undo and redo in the text editor.

| Ctrl+D | Page view. |
| Ctrl+L | Label view. |
| Ctrl+W | Fit width. |
| Ctrl+G | Fit page. |
| Ctrl+Num +, Ctrl+Num − | Zoom in, zoom out. The plus and minus keys of the numeric keypad. |
| Ctrl+mouse wheel | Zoom. |
| Shift+mouse wheel | Scroll sideways. |
| Ctrl+Page Up, Ctrl+Page Down | Scroll up or down by a screen. Add Shift to scroll sideways. |
| Ctrl+arrow keys, Ctrl+Shift+arrow keys | With nothing selected: scroll a little, or by a screen. |
| Ctrl+Home, Ctrl+End | Go to the top or the bottom. Add Shift for the left or the right end. |
| Joy, the AI assistant | |
| Ctrl+Shift+A | Show or hide Joy. |
| Ctrl+M | Talk to Joy, when it's open and waiting. |
| Enter, Shift+Enter | In Joy's box: send, or start a new line. |
| Esc | Stop Joy while it's working. Anything it's already changed can be undone. |
