Number and date formats

LabeljoyNew version

A field, a counter or a reference can write its number or date the way you want: with two decimals, as a price, as a percentage, as a long date. You set it in the Format box of its settings - pick one from the list, or type your own.

The list shows only what fits: number formats for a number, date formats for a date, yes/no words for a yes/no field. A column of text has no format - it's written as it is. Switch a reference to one of another kind - from a date to a page number, say - and its format is cleared.

A format Labeljoy can't make sense of doesn't stop anything: the value is written without it, and so is the rest of the text. Number and date format, next to Format, says which country's way of writing numbers and dates to use - the separators, the names of months and days, the currency; Default format is Default number and date format in the Settings.
