The bell at the right end of the toolbar collects what Labeljoy has to tell you while you work. When there's something new, a card pops up for a few seconds at the top right of the window, and the bell turns orange until you open it.
Click the bell to see the list. Each notification has a title and a line telling you what clicking it does; the ones you haven't read are in bold. When there's nothing to show, the list says No notifications.
| The notifications | |
| Update available | There's a new version of Labeljoy to download. Click it to start the download; you'll see its progress in the status bar. If your Care+ has expired, it says Click here to renew Care+. instead: clicking it tells you which version is out and offers Renew Care+ - see Checking for updates. |
| Update ready | The download is done. Click it to close Labeljoy: the update installs as it closes. It takes the place of Update available. |
| Missing fonts | A document you opened uses fonts that aren't installed on this computer. It names them, and Labeljoy shows and prints those texts with another font. |
Opening the list marks every notification as read, and the bell goes back to its usual color. Notifications aren't kept: next time you start Labeljoy, the list starts empty.
An activated copy of Labeljoy checks for a new version when it starts. You can also check any time you like from the Help panel - see Checking for updates.
